We had seven teams participating in three tournaments in Baltimore, Frederick and Gettysburg compiling a record of 17-6 collectively.

We want to thank everyone for their hard work and support in the Hoyas' first weekend of tournaments for the 2016 season.

We had seven teams participating in three tournaments in Baltimore, Frederick and Gettysburg compiling a record of 17-6 collectively.

Our 7th (Thompson), 9th (Boyd), and 10th (Dinterman) grade boys all finished 3-0 in the Gettysburg Chillies Mixer, while our 12th grade team finished 2-1. Special thanks to Coaches Thompson, Thomas, Hopper and Boyd for pulling double duty and coaching our older team.

The 9th (Flannery) grade team participated in the BCWB Spring Challenge, scrapping and playing hard before losing in the semifinal round of the tournament. Our 7th (Taylor) and 8th (Bowie) grade boys teams both advanced to the Silver and Gold Bracket championship games, respectively, before losing to local AAU powerhouse Team Takeover in the Big Shots Final Four played at Essex Community College in Baltimore. Both teams finished the tournament 3-1.

Two teams hit the road next weekend
Next weekend our 4th (Hill) grade boys team will have their debut tournament, opening up in the Ravens Spring Classic in Columbia, and the 9th (Flannery) grade boys will be up the road from them in the Spring Jam Fest in Ellicott City, hosted by the Howard Youth Basketball Association.
